I've put you down for the curry, Peter, we'll take some surplus in case anybody wants curry at the last minute.

We aim to get to the Lakes by lunchtime tomorrow, hopefully you'll all turn upn to a nice warm hut but by then we'll be in the pub!

Nobody has mentioned food yet. Pauline is prepared to do her mild fruity chicken curry again, it seemed to go down well last time!

Has anybody arranged for some fine weather yet?

Would we be OK to stay the Sunday night?

Well, I'd never heard of rogaining before, but according to a radio ham in Queensland, Australia it is a very popular outdoor competitive activity "down under"! Sort of orienteering in wild country over a period of 24 hours with checkpoints and an emphasis on route finding. So my question ...

...and if you soak it in nitric acid and dry it slowly, it makes a servicable explosive!

It looks like barbi weather for Saturday!

As the weather looks good, Pauline and I are thinking of going on Thursday morning: unless we are put somewhere else we will try and grab the usual corner of the top field.

A difficult choice as we can't do both meets, but the beer is better on the Gower, so Pauline and I plump for that one!

A friend in Tomintoul says that it is horrible wet stuff but the last few days have been really fine. Pity I don't like Bala, its usually full to bursting with yachties, wind surfers and cyclists, not a place for a sensible hill walker!

Simon, I haven't had a reply to my email, what should I do with the hut key?
