Hi,

I've just organised a last minute trip to the CIC hut on Ben Nevis for next week. So I will be coming back down from Scotland on the Friday before the meet. I shouldn't be much earlier than most folk (it's about 5 hours drive), but would be good to know who will be there first.

I'm in for food & walking/scrambing but have no axes or crampons. I'll be looking to leave from Bham later in the evening if anyone wants to share a lift.

Laira,

I've just googled "chef costume" at work using the image search. I should have probably googled "chef clothes". I suspect my p45 is now in the post.

Joel, can I sign up for your chilli please. Would you like me to make the coleslaw for you? I do it all the time at home.

Vicki, can I sign up for the pud too?

Tom Me, I have a spare axe and crampons that Vicki can bring up for you if you like. You'd need to see how stiff your boots are to see if they will take a crampon but you can do that at the hut once everyone has arrived.

If there's room Pierce and me would like to come for both nights.

We'd love some chilli and spotted dick too if possible :D

Hi all

This looks like it is shaping up to be an excellent meet.

Vic - Jenna and I would definitely appreciate some spotted dick if you think you could stretch so far - I see it is proving popular

Joel - We would also like to accept you kind offer for the Chilli.

In return I volunteer for washing up (not for the whole weekend or just on me jones) - just make sure you point me in the right direction of the sink if I'm looking lost.

I also have a big favour - Jenna is short of winter footwear if there's any way someone could generously lend some Size 8 boots, crampons and axe? That would be massively appreciated. Simon had some great universal crampons we borrowed last year that were good with her normal boots. I know its a big ask but even just an axe would help and then we'll plan to join in for some appropriate walking. I'm also trying to check out hire options but the London supply looks a bit short and once in the Lakes that's gonna eat into walking time. Crampons on Gumtree in London come up as something to do with a Clarinet!

Looking forward to catching up with you all and roll on Friday.
