Cheeky people signing up before 8am!
I'm clearly much too late now, plus it still hangs in the balance whether we'll be able to stay in huts.
We are staying at a YHA in the Lakes over Christmas though and may extend this by a few days, so could probably meet up for some daytime activities...

I'm afraid 7.34 was the closest to 8 I could open this due to impending work. I thought it would fill up quick but didn't expect people to be checking on here before 8!
For those who still want to attend, booking into the YHA as Pierce and Fran are might be the best option. I can have a look at other options, but places will be limited in Langdale for New Year.
If there are a few reserves/extras, it might be worth getting together and trying to find and book something between you all?

I gather a contingent have booked a cottage nearby which will take a good few, details to follow no doubt

In an effort to get the cooking rota kicked off (there is now the coveted silver potato masher award at stake!) I will offer a bread and butter pudding one night for dessert.

Nice one Lou, get in there early! I'll put some thought into cooking - and at some point I'll add the chef list
Re: New Year Meet 30, 31 Dec, 1 Jan
I'll do gammon (in coke or orange, haven't decided yet) and the works one day, probably new years day if that suits people? roll up, roll up! Anna, I'm nominating you as sous chef!
ooh and yes please to bread and budding butter Lou!

Please sign me up for all meals but no puddings. Many thanks Lou and Beth
Re: New Year Meet 30, 31 Dec, 1 Jan
I'll do gingerbread and custard for pudding one night.
Beth, do you mean gammon like you get in slices in a pub or do you mean a great hunk of ham like you did last year? If the later then count me in please.

Well, we've got 2 nights and vic and lou's puddings sounds good to me so my theoretical one won't be needed

Sorry Tom, I was forgetting we had only got two nights this year. I'll do mine another time if you'd rather. (In fact it might be easier as it will save me lugging my baking stuff all the way down to London first.)

Re: New Year Meet 30, 31 Dec, 1 Jan
Hi guys, rather predictably (having said no to lots of new year gigs), I am not going to be able to make the meet as I've been offered work 30th December-10th January that I can't really say no to. Really sorry. I'm genuinely gutted
