First May Bank Holiday Meet 28th April - 1st May - Corris

Post by Vicki »

Hot on the heels of the Easter meet comes the first May bank holiday one.

Going against tradition, this won't be a camping meet but instead will be held at the Corris hostle which I'm assured is the best hostle in the world. (Check FabianAdvisor for more details.) http://www.corrishostel.co.uk/

Corris is situated close the Cader Idris (walking and climbing), the Dify Forest (not sure on Adam's spelling there but I assume that's where all the mountain biking is), close to the sea and Lou will be pleased to know that there is also a steam railway.

There is also a comedy festival on that weekend where you can enjoy the likes of John Shuttleworth and Arthur Smith. (Plus lots of modern young types I've never heard of.) All the events are ticketed so you will need to book those yourself.

Adam has 8 places booked at £16 per night.

1. Adam
2. Jules
3. Fabian
4. Chloe
5. Amandeep

Just to say that yesterday I booked some tickets to some of the comedy on Sat evening:
http://machcomedyfest.co.uk/davidkay17

I booked David Kay tickets for Chloe, Julie, Adam and me.

Feel free to join us Amandeep (or anyone else!). I booked before I had spotted that you had signed up on the forum - sorry I missed you!

Obviously, everyone will now blame me when it is awful, or isn't to their tastes.

+ We were thinking of maybe seeing a second comedy show, if we spot something. Recommendations welcome!

Hey Fabian yes I'd be interested in the comedy night too! :)

Who is cooking this weekend? Just wanted to note I'm vegetarian. And if anyone is driving from Birmingham on Friday evening after 6pm could I get a lift please?

Thanks :)

Amandeep, can you get yourself a ticket to the comedy if you want to come?

If we get anymore tickets to other shows, I will keep you in the loop.

Hi Amandeep
Are you taking a bike? A few of us will be biking. You might need to factor that in to the lift request if you intend bringing one.

Not sure yet but I may be going directly from work in Derby so can't offer a lift from Brum I'm afraid.

OK no worries I'll book my ticket for the comedy.

I have got a bike but it's not great tbh lol but it would be good to go biking so I will have a look at its condition this week and try and get it ready for the weekend.

No worries if you can't give me a lift I will just drive up myself I was just wondering if anyone was going up from here then would be easier to car share
