Not hugely psyched for the crowds at Popular, but if that's the consensus I'll follow the crowd. Would be more interested in somewhere a bit quieter if anyone else is keen.

No strong compulsions really, just maybe somewhere less likely to be rammed. Maybe Rivelin, the other end of Stanage, Curbar, Dovestone, Burbage South etc... Group décision though - happy to go wherever.

We went to Dovestone about three weeks ago. It's a bit of a slog in and in the shade so I'm not desperate to rush back. (There is some good climbing there but it's a long walk out if the weather turns.)

So meet at stanedge at 9am as planned. See what the crowds are like. If it does get busy later we can walk 15 min up the crag to the middle section which would usually be quieter.

Pity that we didn't camp out after all. We went for a walk after leaving the pub. Stunning evening.
