New Year, Lagangarbh

Mercians your New Year awaits.

As most of you already know Lagangarbh is the location of this years New Year meet.

Being right in the middle of Glen Coe, there are plenty of mountains on your door step. Buchille Etive Mor is out the back door, the Aonach Eagech ridge is across the road. If the snow gods are kind the ski "resort" is 5 minutes down the road. The eatery of choice is in fact not the over rated Clachaig, but the Glen Coe Gathering. Should all else fail and its a typically Scottish new year there is the climbing wall in Kinlochleven.

The price is £11pppn. 4 nights. To secure a place you have to pay a £20 deposit. Contact our shiny new treasurer to organize payment.

Have fun. Dont forget your waterproofs.

Happy New Year Team!

A few folk are thinking of staying an extra night at new year, given it's a long old drive up to Glen Coe. This would mean we would stay overnight on 1st Jan and leave on 2nd.

We need to let Adam know how many spaces we would want at the hut - can you please let me know by the end of the week if you fancy it?

ALSO - bring your swimming gear. I am reliably told by some bloke from Middlesbrough that you can use the swimming pool and sauna at the Isles of Glen Coe hotel for just £4. Potential wet weather actvity.

ALSO - I am happy to cook one evening. Maybe a fish pie. Let me know if you want in.

Evening New Yearers

The hut sec for Lagangarbh has got back to me. Anybody can stay the extra night. This is to be paid per person. However, their fees went up in october so the last night has to be paid for at the new rate of £16 pppn.

Hi Stew
No, not 18 yet, 14yr old.

If he can't, not a problem, just asking.
