Ty Powdwr, Dinowic - 27-29 Oct

Post by Adam »

Hello Mercians

For this meet we will be staying in a UNESCO World Heritage Site. A vibrant location with towering peaks, lush valleys, history, tradition, culture and cheese on toast. All of this only 3 hours drive from a gloomy post industrial Birmingham. You would be a fool not to sign up.

The hut is the one in the title. We have dorms 2 and 3.

15 spaces at £13pppn.

Me and Emma please, Joe is taking us climbing during that meet but for various reasons neither of us can make it on Friday. Is it okay to still sign us up just for Sat, please?

Hi Magda and Emma

I think the guidance always used to be that you can stay just one night over the weekend....but if the meet becomes oversubscribed and other folk sign up who can stay both nights then people who can stay both nights are given priority. This stops the club loosing money on hut meets.

If the meet isn't oversubscribed i think youre ok to just stay one night (though to fund the club coffers...i guess you can still pay for both nights if you wish?!)

Anyone had any thoughts about food for Saturday?

I am happy to make a chilli con carne, although I am aware that we had chilli on the most recent meet.

(If there are enough veggies, can make a veggie version with Quorn mince too)
