Re: 60 aniversary camping (attempt No 2) - 23-25 June
Stew, your plan sounds a very good one. However, it's not one that I can join in on. My plan hinged on leaving Catherine with David for a few hours while we walked up, bivvied and then descended. With so few signing up I'd end up walking up on my own which, in the dark, is not a great idea. I'm also...

I'd like to come and, if there are spaces available, David too.

Myself, Catherine and probably David intend to camp. This is however weather dependent. As for the bivvy bit, we've yet to decide.

Re: 60 aniversary camping - 9-11 June
Sounds like a good plan but I doubt that I'd be able to convince Catherine to walk up Snowdon, never mind in the dark and sleep up there
We could still camp though

Re: 60 aniversary camping - 9-11 June
I'm staying at Ty'n Lon because of Tradfest so not camping.
Will walk and bivvy on top. Subject to Tradfest commitments, David may come too.

Pity that we didn't camp out after all. We went for a walk after leaving the pub. Stunning evening.

Sounds like a good plan Stew, except for the 9am part. I'm looking for my Classic Rock ticks and there's 3 to go at the Popular End.
I can highly recommend the steak pie at The Grouse.

Did you investigate Hardhurst Farm where I don't think the Ceunant have ever needed a deposit? Hardhurst Farm is just off the main road between Hathersage and Hope. It is quite a large site but it does have DOE groups sometimes, hence recommending checking. There's a pub nearby called the Traveller'...
