Mercian climbs

Post by Vicki »

Stewart has had the idea of creating a bit of a club tick list of climbs this year to try and encourage us to all get out more. The idea is that we should try and tick off a climb for every member of the club. We currently have 45 members so it's not a big ask although some names are going to be harder than others. (Laira, you might have to do a first ascent and name it after yourself. :))

So far, and picking the most amusingly named climbs, he has come up with:

Stewpot.

· Victoria’s Chimney.

· Don’t Fall Adam, I’m Eating

· Tom’s Patience.

· Graham The Turtle.

· Little Pete. (Stannage)

· Andy Randy. (Symonds Yat)

· Papa Simon’s extra Six Inches.

· Sleeping With Sarah.

· Carl’s Delight.

· Big Chris. (Stannage)

· In Love With Louise.

· The Norman Conquest.

· Demon Moves Mike.

· Aerobics With Alan.

· On The job With Pauline.

· The Life Of Brian.

If you can help us draw up a definitive list then post on here, or email me, and I'll try and create a tick list sheet for people. :)

Hmm, looks like you'll be travelling a way for that one: it's in Australia. :( The nearest and easiest one appears to be Alan B*stard MP which is a 6b+ on the House of Commons crag near Matlock Bath. It's only 8m tall.
