After discussions with the hut sec, the numbers booked are not as high as feared, so the meet is will proceed, and will not be postponed.[/b]

Ladies/Gents

Apologies for the delay in opening this meet. Booking now open on the forum for the meet next weekend.

A welcome change from trip up the M6: ‘Situated in Somerset in the eastern part of Mendip between Oakhill and Stoke St Michael (ST 6505 4720) it makes an ideal base for caving, as well as many other outdoor activities including walking, cycling, climbing. It is close to the Mendip Way footpath and there are a number of local crags and quarries for climbing.’

At the great rate of £6pp per night.

I gather some of the noisier members are running the half marathon on this weekend if that tips the balance for anyone! :)

Booking via this forum thread.

Cheers
Huw

Hi Huw,

I would like to go on this meet assuming a few more are about to sign up and providing there is any kind member(s) willing to provide me with a lift.
Looks like at the moment Roland has the hut to himself :)

Last minute decision, Pauline and I will brave the iffy weather forecast!
Only in silence the word, only in dark the light, only in dying life: bright the hawks flight in the empty sky.

Pauline and I are travelling down later this morning and will pick up the key mid afternoon.
