Has anyone ever been up the Cobbler - I'm gunning for this on our NY meet. If it's a scramble that's cool, if by some stroke of luck it isn't plastered in snow there are a few big boot VDiffs and Mods to be had too.

Cobbler is easy in good weather Stew. Wouldn't fancy it in snow and ice without a rope but it's good fun. Have you got any other ideas lined up?

When do we want to start deciding who is cooking what and when?

All,

I'll do Beef Stroganoff on the Monday (29th).

I'm still not certain what nights we'll be there, but on the Monday there stands a good chance of us being there.

I'll do pasta bolognese on Sunday the 29th. I don't say spaghetti bolognese because let's be honest, spaghetti is a pain in the arse when there so many other styles of pasta. I'll build the suspense by not divulging whether I'll be using penne, fusilli, or rotini until the night of the meal - oooooooooh!

Here's a website listing loads of walks from and around Crianlarich, which includes the walk up the Cobbler.

It also happens that this pub which was pretty fantastic last time I was there is en route to the Cobbler car park.

Karl, am I right in assuming that your beef stroganoff will have dairy in it?

Vic,

Yes, it has double cream in it.

However, this is added at the end, and I'm sure we could spoon some out beforehand and use something Vic-friendly instead. Any ideas?

You beat me to it for the curry! I was looking at doing a Lamb Curry & Veg Curry for the 31st with Naan breads etc. Want to do a joint venture?
