Buttermere, Lake District 14 - 16 Aug

Post by Jules »

Hi all

Second to last camping meet of the year, please sign up here!

This meet will be held in Buttermere, Lake District. Lots to do around here and we've not been to this area for a long time, the area is good for climbing (there is a Buttermere guidebook) , masses of Wainwrights virtually on the doorstep and for the mountain bikers, organised trails in the Whinlatter forest about 4 miles away. Geoff and Murray have recommended the campsite as very friendly, peaceful (until we arrive!), decent showers, inexpensive and only 10 minutes from the local pub - always the measure of a good site.

Here's the details

https://www.pitchup.com/campsites/Engla ... camp-site/ £12 for 2 people per night. I've booked 6/7 pitches and they will save an area for us.
