Llyn Gwynant - Snowdon - 15-17 June

Post by Adam »

Hello Mercians

The next meet will be at the Llyn Gwynant campsite on the south-east side of Snowdon.

So its Snowdon, we all know the score.
Hike - to the top of Snowdon to see the tourist masses. Or go south to the most likely deserted hills.
Bike - yes you can, as long as its not between 10am-5pm
Climb - go north to the pass or south to Tremadog

Bring your swimming togs, arm bands, inflatable boat if you have one, because you can get straight to the lake from the campsite.

Price £10 pppn. Just turn up.

All the information you need on the campsite can be found on the link below.

Cheers

Hi all
I'm around there from Sat afternoon. Staying at campsite near Tryfan and joining in on a friends last half of the 1400s on Sunday.

I'll try and catch up with you all Sat afternoon depending on where you all are :)

A word of warning that it's midge season. I've been to Ty'n Lon this weekend and they were definitely biting.

Hi Ruth

Not sure where in the campsite we will be. Quite a few people have mercian stickers in the back car window. Other than that we can leave a message at reception. You can get peoples phone numbers before you go, but Im not sure how much signal there will be.

Evening

Having looked at this weekends cold wet and windy forecast, I think I'll give it a miss.

Gosh - hail and thunder according to the met office - not sure my 20 year old tent is up to that - might have to skip camping on the Friday night at least!

I agree - Saturday forecast not great but Sunday better. I am going to see what it looks like tomorrow but happy to head up tomorrow if others are. Also happy just to do something on Sunday.

Will keep an eye on the forum.
