I booked a camping slot by Cragg Hill Farm for 27 and 28 July. I will arrive at about 4 pm going via M1.
Mobile phone reception (Vodafone) is good for 4G.

I will have to do my own walking but I enjoy your company in the evening.

Hopefully the booking will be okay.

I am probably going to pack my small folding bbq, because it is always fun setting fire to things!

Huw booked us in over the phone too. We'll bring a big tent just in case the weather turns a bit more British summer time!

I was thinking of driving up Friday evening also but be good to have company. When/where are you leaving from?

Thanks
Louise

Will be leaving from the city centre. Specifically from the children's hospital. But could pick you up from anywhere else!

My car was tested for MOT yesterday and failed for the first time in 12 years. The garaged fitted a new shock absorber and drive shaft gaiter but in the process the front wind screen was cracked. It will not be fixed till Friday afternoon (a special wind screen with rain sensor). I have decided to cancel my spot on the camp site and not join you for this weekend.
I hope you all have a good weekend.

Oh no. Sorry to hear that Roland.

Ruth - I live in Streetly so would be enroute. I’ll message you!

We're heading up tomorrow via M1, which we planned to do anyway. For information, there was a serious accident on the M6 near Preston/Lancaster. The M6 is still closed because the bridge is unsafe and is likely to remain closed into this evening and then who knows.

Hi Roland, we're planning to head through the centre at 5pm/5.15pm so if you can get a train to New St you're welcome to a lift. Likewise Ruth but makes sense to share with Lou. H

Dear Huw,

No, Thank you. I could not carry all my gear on the train. I have decided not to go.
I will get out for a little walk on Sunday.

We've been looking at the forecast. Sunday is basically a wash out (everywhere) and Saturday is not great. Are folk still intending to go?
