Desert

Post by kudos »

Hi all,

I'll be bringing some home made Tiramisu for desert. It's got lots and lots of high quality diary in it, so might not be for everyone.

K

P.S. Myself and Lucy would like to sign up for the main course please Ana

Directions and stuff

Post by kudos »

Dunno if people have looked at the directions to the hut, but it isn't the kind of place you will stumble on, and I doubt there'll be mobile reception once you're on site.

You need a key to access the parking area. Who will have the key?

I plan to drop all of my stuff at the nearby access road, then move to the car to the parking area. Going cross country for 400m with all of the kit doesn't make sense.

We will be arriving quite late I reckon, certainly not before 10pm.

Have our eye on Pearson's Arete, depending on conditions. Finishing with the Horseshoe (big day) or Crib Goch/North Ridge in reverse. Or descent by Parsley Fern if there's snow in it.

That is all.

How hard is the person arete Karl? Any good for a non-climber?

I was eyeing up Y Lliwedd myself, as I've never been up that way.

I have the key fob, which operates the car park gate and hut. I'm staying at the YHA at Pen Y Pass so whoever gets there first will need to pop in and collect it. Suspect that won't be you - we will text and let you know the arrangements for when you get there.

Vic and I should arrive at the Pass at about 9pm. We’ll call a few folk In other cars when en route and not far away to see who is the lead car to prevent all of us pulling up at the yha.

Please sign me up for dessert thankyou. Y Liwedd is good, although I have recently done it. I'm hesitant to add a third option, but I'm desperate to go up Tryfan for the first time at some point!

Hope to discuss carpark drama at the wall on Thursday if I'm not too shattered from my winter course!
