How much time will be spent in the hut if we want to climb a 4000m peak.We will presumably have at least 2-3 nights in the mountain huts if we do a warm up peak and for example the Gran Parodiso. Maybe I am a cheap skate but that seems to me a lot of double funding
I appreciate everyone is not going to go for the peak bagging option

Gran Paradiso is a 1 night stay in the hut (recommend Chabod over Emmanuel Vittoria) and is - IMO - doable without a warm up peak assuming reasonable fitness.

You're free to make your own arrangements for accommodation though if you don't want to pay for nights you don't use and there are several very nice campsites in the aosta valley. I've stayed in a couple in the Val Veny area before.

I'm tempted to come with eyes on the Rochefort Arete and Dent du Geant (possibly in a 1er) if anyone else is keen? This would involve buying a Skyway ticket and at least 1 night in the Torino hut adding approx 120 euro to the cost. Aside from that will investigate Via Ferrata in the area.

Deposit paid! I’m keen to do some climbing however I have limited experience with outdoors climbing. So I will need to come with people who know what they are doing with the gear and stuff! Hiking up some peaks would be great too.

Ok, sign me up, I should have time to sort a passport, as long as the post office actually have some in stock when I call in next time!
I'll join accommodation as well please.

Thanks,

I would like to go back for some easier 4000, so hope Gran Paradiso would suit my ability, and like to try via ferrata also :)

***UPDATE***

Due to a lack of accommodation in Aosta the meet will now be in Chamonix.
