Hollows Farm, Grange, Borrowdale - 17-19 June

Post by Adam »

Hello Mercians

Since we enjoyed the last camping meet so much, I think its time for another one. We will be staying at Hollows Farm in Borrowdale.

Hike - On the Derwent Fells
Bike - The 4 passes route
Climb - More than you can shake a stick at.

Book yourselves in as usual.

Cheers

Are people booking now and running the risk of losing the cash if we bail or waiting and running the risk that there is now room?

Vic emailed them as instructed on their web site to book. That triggered them to ask to ring them to pay. So sounds like they want full payment up front. So 2 options. Bite the bullet now and book and if it’s Armageddon cancel and lose £18 per person for the two nights. Or wait for Monday (-ish) and see the forecast and make a call on it then knowing that the site might be fully booked by then. As it’s a little early in the season I’m leaning towards option 2. Thoughts?

I agree with your suggestion to hang fire for a few days. I'm told that the Lakes are in for a period of unsettled weather so I'm happy to wait.
