I climbed this many years ago with Vic and Jody. Heres a description you might well have found in a pre pictures guide book.

P1 Climb the rock at the base of the crag.
P2 Climb the rock above the rock you have just climbed. Finish at the top.

On a Ceunant (wash my mouth out with soap) meet I climbed this rather unspectacular route for no other reason than to bag my namesake: ‘Stewpot and Rough Crack’ (HVD), Almscliff, Yorkshire. I’d post a UKC link but the climbing was so forgettable it’s not worth the effort.

I only wish Brian and Pauline Carter were still members, though their age and mobility made it a challenge to continue being active members of the club. I last saw them at the club’s 60th birthday party at Corris Hostel. Anyway, I mention this only because ‘On The Job With Pauline’ (6A) at Buckstones Edge, Yorkshire is a fab namesake.

I am fortunate that in Langdale there is Kettle Crag. Probably the most appropriate route would be ‘The Singing Kettle’ VS 2 stars

20 metres. Climb the crack left of Rose Puchong to a heathery bay. I’d be feeling very at home in the heather so that would be perfect but then it becomes more tricky. Tackle the overhang direct or move into it from the right to finish on a fine wall. Generally well protected, though the finishing slab is more bold.

...I also have a town named after me in the Pyrenees which has some wonderful looking bike trails:

See the video - it looks lovely. I even have a logo in the end credits.

Climbed by me back in 2015 and more recently by some other members it seems.

Easy, pleasant 2 pitch Severe if I recall correctly.

Looking at UKC there are 23 routes called 'Tom' I could choose from and 11 called 'Thomas'. This doesn't include any with Tom or Thomas as part of a longer name either! There are benefits to having an absurdly common name I suppose.

I look forward to Anta's contribution...

Not that I will ever climb this, but I like the crag name, and it has sea views.

Beth - E2 5b, Rams Grove Crag, Third Sister to Zulu Zawn, Swansea
Start 3m right of The Ram of Radyr and climb to a bulge. Move slightly right over the bulge to a left-leaning groove. Continue on better holds to the top.

It just has to be Lake Louise for me...... :D

But for something closer to home there's also 'Geez Louise' at Rhossilli. At 5c and a short climb 'almost'* worth thinking about doing.....

*disclaimer......I am highly unlikely to try this......!

Brilliant! Fabian you need to stop by this town in the Pyrenees.

I've come across an E2 coastal climb in Reiff called "Brace yourself Becky"
The route name appeals! The E2 aspect perhaps not as much. A pretty remote coastal town in the highlands - may be worth a trip!

Alternatively.... Mount Nicholson on Hong Kong island has a sport crag and just looks pretty darn fantastic.
