Well.....they're not exactly mountaineering quotes but they have been said by Mercians calling themselves mountaineers at some point. Match the quote to the person and the memory/meet.

Apologies to those that are easily offended by bad language.

"Wine wine wine"
"Brace yourself Khyati"
"Has anyone bought a phone, should we phone anyone?"
"Yes I p*ssed on the shed but the rules weren't explained to me, I still maintain I'm totally innocent"
"Warhorse is a tw*t"
"Where's Norman?"
"Oh I'm in a pickle....."
"Dylan, Dylan.....DY....LAN!!!!"
"I can handle my old Rosie"
"Where the hell has Duncan gone?"
"Jesus Mary and Joseph"
"Can I borrow your helmet/nut key/rope/harness/shoes....'
"Jesus Christ Joel"

Possibly..
1. All of us yelling at Laira as she was about to knock over her bottle.
2. Anta on Telendos.
3. You on the cmd arete.
4. Fabian during the drinking challenge.
5. The Kettle at the George Starkey hut.
6. Anyone ever present on a meet with Norman.
7. No idea but not me.
8. Karl whenever there are sheep around.
9. Fabian again.
10. No idea but you could try looking in the pub. If Geoff and Mike are missing too then definitely try the pub. 😁
11. Pierce on many, many an occasion.
12. Muffin on pretty much any meet when he's forgotten half his stuff.
13. You but not sure whether it was when he went widely off route when leading, was overly bold on the scramble of had a six person tiramisu for breakfast.

Lou, #10 was new year at Scotland, maybe 2 years ago. The noise and partying was too much for him. I must add I wasn’t there, nothing to do with me!

Correct Stew......nothing to do with me either but funny all the same.

No.13 was Pete to Joel in the dolomites in reference to his laissez faire attitude to sport climbing.

Lou these are brilliant. And have caused a re-storying from Joel about climbing tales with Pete in the dolomites! (It sounds like a completely suitable response quoted from Pete)

I don't always use Disney as a moral compass in life, but this is a personal favourite:

"No matter how the wind howls, the mountain cannot bow to it."

I wonder if people can guess the Disney movie and character quoted?

May I ask for a clue if no one gets this in the next few days. Pre- or post- 1990?

This is perhaps a bit long for the calendar, but this is written on an info board in Yosemite, and I took a photo of it because I think it's great. It's by John Muir.
As long as I live, I'll hear waterfalls and birds and winds sing. I'll interpret the rocks, learn the language of flood, storm, and the avalanche. I'll acquaint myself with the glaciers and wild gardens, and get as near the heart of the world as I can.

Becky, is it Pocahontas?

I’m going to pass on the Disney question. After The Lion King my knowledge drops off.
